Ohio State place-kicker Noah Ruggles announced on Friday that he will be returning to the Buckeyes for the 2022 football season.
Ruggles made 20-of-21 field goals for the Buckeyes this past season, and all 74 of his extra points. Ruggles led the team with 134 points in 2021. He was named First-Team All-American by ESPN for his efforts.
Ruggles joined the Buckeyes prior to the 2021 season, transferring in from North Carolina where he was the starter in 2019.
Without Ruggles, the Ohio State kicking game would have had to rely on inexperienced and untested options. With him back, however, the place-kicking should once again be in good hands.
