The Buckeyes have picked up a pair of commits over the course of the last 24 hours but also have lost one as class of 2023 cornerback Dijon Johnson went to social media to announce he is no longer part of the Ohio State recruiting class.
The four-star corner committed to Ohio State in April right around the annual spring game as part of a big two-step out of the state of Florida along with Bryson Rodgers.
Johnson took part in a weekend visit to the University of Florida this past weekend and while he was not granting media interviews on Friday night, the news dropped on Saturday that he wanted to re-open things.
“I want to thank everyone at the Ohio State University for their time and effort of recruiting me,” Johnson said in a statement. “I am thankful for the relationships that I’ve build over the past year, especially with coach (Tony) Alford, coach (Tim) Walton and the players.”
The Buckeyes still have three corners in the class with Kayin Lee, Calvin Simpson-Hunt and Jermaine Mathews.
