Buckeyes Without Starting Left Guard Harry Miller, Starting Running Back Master Teague, More

Ohio State has released its availability report and once again it is chock full of starters and valuable reserves.

Starting left guard Harry Miller and starting running back Master Teague are both out this week. They are joined by defensive ends Zach Harrison and Tyler Friday as key absences for the Buckeyes in Friday night’s Sugar Bowl against Clemson.

Without Miller, expect redshirt sophomore Matt Jones to step in at left guard. Jones started there in the Michigan State game when Miller was at center while Josh Myers was out following a positive COVID test.

Teague’s absence could be lessened as long as Trey Sermon continues playing as well as he has been over the last month.

The Ohio State defensive ends have rarely been all healthy this season and now their five-man rotation will be down two men in Harrison and Friday. The Buckeyes will still have Jonathon Cooper and Tyreke Smith in action, as well as Javontae Jean-Baptiste. Could there be some Noah Potter in this game? Perhaps. Or maybe the Buckeyes get some pass rushes from Baron Browning as well.

Here is the entire availability list from Ohio State.
