Coach Kyle Hayes joins Beyond the Shoe to talk Florida high school football

High school football season is alive and well in the Sunshine state, and this season looks to be an entertaining one.

FBS talent will grace every field in every region of the state, and very few teams have easy schedules. Teams like Miami Central will head to California and then Nevada to take on powerhouses St. John Bosco and Bishop Gorman in a battle of the powerhouses. American Heritage in Plantation, Fl. will head to Louisiana to face off against Edna Karr, but not before the face off against IMG Academy.

Good football will not be hard to come by this year in Florida.

Ohio State targets and commits will have competitive schedules this season as well. Chaminade Madonna, where current Buckeyes commit Ryan Turner and current target Kenyatta Jackson attend, will face off against American Heritage, as well as Seminole High School. They’ll also travel to Georgia to face off against Buford, the team where current Ohio State center Harry Miller attended.

Osceola High School, where current Ohio State targets Derrick LeBlanc and John Walker play, will face off against Dr. Phillips High School, where current Ohio State target Payton Kirkland plays in a big district matchup.

You can read more about the breakdown of schools in my latest series, Buckeyes in Florida, which provides breakdowns of Ohio State targets and the schools that they attend.
