The Ohio State Men’s Basketball team may be ready to head to the Bahamas to kick off a little international exhibition action but not before landing a big player that should help shape the near future of this team.
Devin Royal is staying home after selecting the Buckeyes over Michigan State and Alabama on Wednesday afternoon during a press conference at his high school.
The four-star forward made his intentions known at Pickerington Central high school and now give the Buckeyes a solid three-man class for 2023 joining Austin Parks and George Washington III.
The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 19.8 points per game with 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over the course of his junior season, a year where Pick Central won the Division I state championship in Ohio.
“(Ohio State) just recruits really hard, showing a lot of love,” Royal said. “Players showing me love and reaching out, alumni reaching out and showing love, that was my main point of it.”
