Former Ohio State freshman guard Meechie Johnson announced two weeks ago that he was entering the transfer portal. On Monday, he revealed his destination.

Johnson is transferring to South Carolina where he will have three years of eligibility remaining.



Johnson played in 26 games this past season for the Buckeyes, starting five times. He suffered a facial injury in practice which cost him a handful of games. He averaged 4.4 points per game this past season and had games of 13 and 14 points in just the third and fourth game of the season for Ohio State, but never posted double figures again.
