COLUMBUS – If you are looking for linemen in the state of Ohio you don’t have to go much further than Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward’s in the class of 2024. Earlier in the month we had a chance to see Ben Roebuck and on Tuesday it was a chance for the Armstrong twins to show out.

Devontae and Deontae are identical twins and when you see the pair in a group, it is hard to tell the difference but once you get to talk to the pair, you see that there are some differences, albeit few.

“We are identical twins, there is not much difference,” Deontae said after the Tuesday camp. “Maybe in personality, people will start to know the difference between the personalities.”

“It has been said that I am more quiet, he is louder,” Devontae echoed.

Both players have double-digit offers, including several from Power Five schools. In fact the duo have the same offers, but that is to be expected but there is a reality that one could pick up an offer the other doesn’t or that one twin...

    Exactly what is well spoken?
Complete sentences. Correct grammar. Concise thoughts, good pace of delivery, looking at the interviewer while they talk (i.e. looking you in eye). Control of their body language (i.e. to not be a distraction to the verbal message), and a clear message - very respectful of their brother and the schools they talked about.

Edit update: Three way conversation is a lost art - which given my age, I blame it partly on cell phones.

Or, a different view. As a father, if they were standing in front my wife and I to ask me to marry one of my daughters, I would be very impressed by the professionalism of their words and delivery of those words.

To take my personal view of it out of the conversation, would you put those two individuals in a courtroom, in front of a judge, to make an argument defending you from going to prison?

That is all I meant. It was a compliment, a big compliment. Not trying to say anything else.

As a father of large twins, it seems a bit strange one is right tackle and one left guard.

I'd want them playing Tackle/Guard on the same side of the line. Seems their familiarity with each other would be beneficial side by side.
