The Ohio State Buckeyes have kicked off their 2021 season, getting the CJ Stroud era off to a good start with a road win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. While it wasn’t a perfect performance, there were far more positives than negatives for a team that entered the season with a lot of question marks and concerns. Chip Minnich and I break down the game at Minnesota which could have been a much easier win if two plays had broken differently, with a fourth down whiff on defense and a roughing the passer penalty allowing P.J. Fleck’s pesky Gophers to hang around and, more importantly, believe.



We looked back to check our score predictions and see how our Minnesota picks to click performed. It was a bit of a mixed bag, as it turns out. Then we went over this week’s champions and players of the game.
