The Buckeyes are on the board once again in 2023 and it is a familiar name as Ohio State legacy Will Smith, Jr. has given his pledge to Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder is the son of the late Will Smith who played for the Buckeyes from 2000 to 2003 before going on and having a 10-year-plus career, almost entirely with the New Orleans Saints.

Smith Jr. plays his high school football at Dublin (Ohio) Coffman high school and only recently picked up his Ohio State offer and it seemed to be a mere formality before Smith Jr. would follow in his father’s footsteps to Ohio State.

Smith Jr. spent time on the Ohio State campus over the weekend on an unofficial visit and apparently that was more than enough to answer any questions around a program that the young lineman should have been quite familiar with.
