    For all the perception that the Ohio State versus Penn State series has been close through recent years the fact remains that Ohio State has won eight of the last nine and that Penn State head coach James Franklin is 1-7 against Ohio State, the lone win coming on a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown in Happy Valley in 2016.

    Sure, there was a three-game stretch where the outcome was decided by three or fewer points and in two of those games the Buckeyes had to overcome sizable second half deficits, but all things being equal, since Penn State joined the Big Ten, this series has been decidedly one-sided towards the Buckeyes with six of the 14 series losses happening prior to league membership for the Nittany Lions.

    Ohio State has only covered the spread in four of the last 10 games but as we all know, this game is about wins and losses and while the Buckeyes certainly could use some style points along the way, the Buckeyes only need to win this game by one, not 18.5...
