Despite not being able to catch up with 2022 Ohio State commit C.J. Hicks two
weeks ago after Archbishop Alter’s big playoff win over Badin, we did get to
talk to fellow 2022 star prospect Derrick Shepard. He is a four-star defensive
tackle prospect that holds offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Iowa State,
Iowa State, Michigan, and he hears often from the in-state Buckeyes.

He is a massive 6-foot-3 and 300-pound prospect that is just scratching the surface of his potential. Partially because he is asked to play more offensive tackle than defensive tackle for the Knights. However, when he does get snaps at defensive tackle it is hard to ignore the impact he can have.
