LOS ANGELES – There are just some things you have to do when you are in Southern California and one of them is getting a good plate of Mexican food.

Scoop Eats allows us the opportunity to have a few good meals on the road and share our experience with you.

El Cholo has been operational since 1923 and that means it is closing in on 99 years of serving Angelinos great Mexican food in downtown Los Angeles.

With a native Californian in tow, how did El Cholo meet our expectations? Be sure to join Tom Orr, Tony Gerdeman and Kevin Noon as they visit the landmark restaurant and put it to the test.

We will promise you one thing, no boneless chicken wings were harmed in the filming of this edition of Scoop Eats, despite Tony’s protests.
