It has been a crazy month and a half in the recruiting world as June saw a record number of official visitors head to Columbus. With many of Ohio State’s top targets making it to campus, and some already committing to the Buckeyes, it’s time to reassess the landscape and take a look at where Ohio State’s recruiting focus will be over the next few months.

While there are plenty of big-time targets left on the board along both the offensive and defensive lines, those position groups also have multiple spots left and plenty of questions about how things could finish. The defensive back group might have even more intrigue. Yes, the Buckeyes have five defensive backs committed right now, but will all five of those players actually sign with Ohio State? And there are still several safety targets in play as well which could add to the number. There is also five-star Mater Dei (CA) standout Domani Jackson who indicated at The Opening that an Ohio State official visit is still very much in play.

The latest episode of the Givs and The Bank recruiting podcast hits on all of these topics and gives an overall ‘state of the class’ update coming out of one of the busiest recruiting months in recent memory.
