How Much Better Can CJ Stroud Get In 2022?

A year ago, CJ Stroud had yet to throw his first pass as an Ohio State quarterback and was locked in a battle with Jack Miller and Kyle McCord for the starting job.

Now, Stroud holds the school’s single-game record for passing yards, was a Heisman finalist, and just authored one of the most explosive offensive performances in Buckeye history. So what will he do for an encore this fall?

Buckeye Scoop’s Kevin Noon researched how big a jump each of Ohio State’s returning starting quarterbacks made this century. He joins host Tom Orr to discuss that, and which of those profiles might be the best hint at what Stroud will look like this fall.

Plus, the Buckeyes are near the top of the nation in returning statistical production in 2022. Why that could be very bad news for the rest of the Big Ten, and where some of the biggest opponents on OSU’s schedule this fall stack up.
