Ohio State’s 2022 cornerback commitment Jyaire Brown has announced where he will play high school football next fall.
Last month on May 22nd Brown put out on Twitter that he would not be attending Warren Easton High School where he has played the past two seasons. While the reason for his transfer was not known publicly two options quickly arose for the four-star cornerback, return to his birthplace in Cincinnati Ohio or attend IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The latter option quickly faded for Brown and he decided to return to Ohio for the next two years of his high school career. After deciding to return to Ohio he had to decide on a Cincinnati area high school to enroll at and that school ended up being Lakota West.
A combination of playing with future college teammate Tegra Tshabola and opposite fellow Power Five 2022 cornerback prospect Alex Afari was too much to pass up for Brown. The Firebirds now have two future Buckeyes, one of Ohio’s best cornerback duos, and a very talented 2022 class.
BuckeyeScoop.com recorded a video interview with Brown ahead of his announcement.
