Brycen Sanders Details Ohio State Visit

Ohio State hosted a number of top prospects this past weekend for their big win over Penn State. Among those in attendance was Chattanooga (TN) Baylor 2023 offensive lineman Brycen Sanders, who was making his second visit to Columbus in the last four months.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder came into the trip holding offers from the likes of Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Stanford, and others. The Buckeyes have not yet pulled the trigger on a scholarship but there is mutual interest between the parties, and this latest visit was a strong step in the right direction.

“It was great,” Sanders told Buckeye Scoop. “I got to tour the indoor facility, meet with the coaches, see the pep rally (Skull Session) before the game, go on the field for pre-game, watch the game, and go into the locker room after the game too.”

It was the first time in Ohio Stadium for Sanders, who was impressed with what he saw.

“The atmosphere and the game were amazing,” he shared. “Ohio State was in control for most of the game and the atmosphere was just amazing.”

And while he didn’t land an offer just yet, it seems things could be trending that way as the two sides continue to build a relationship.

“I spoke with Coach Stud, Coach Cook, Coach Alford, and Coach Jeffers,” Sanders said. “They told me they liked what I have put on film so far this year and they want to keep getting me up to Columbus on visits. They talked to me a little bit about a potential offer, but I’m sure we’ll talk more about it after our season.”

And if OSU did offer, what would it mean for Sanders?

“It would mean a lot coming from a program of that caliber,” he responded when asked. “They would be a top choice for me.”
