Ohio State fourth-year junior safety Marcus Hooker has been suspended indefinitely from the football team following a charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence. The incident happened Saturday.
An Ohio State spokesman has confirmed the suspension, which was first reported by Dave Holmes of 10TV in Columbus.
Hooker’s arraignment will be Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Friday morning is also the start of spring practice for the Ohio State football team.
Hooker started the first five games for the Buckeyes last year at safety and posted 15 tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
Hooker was also charged with OVI back in the summer of 2018 prior to his freshman season. He was suspended for the season opener.
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day will meet with reporters for the first time this spring on Wednesday.
