Ohio State landed a commitment from 5-star quarterback Quinn Ewers on Thursday, marking the fourth 5-star quarterback to commit or sign with Ryan Day since he was named head coach nearly two years ago.
It has been an incredible run in a very short time for Day, but a lot can happen on the way from committing to signing. In college sports there isn’t anything else like recruiting — and trying to keep — quarterbacks.
It is a juggling act that requires way more balls than hands and an understanding that not every catch is going to stick.
This is especially true in the middle of a coaching change like the one Ohio State experienced almost two years ago now.
But for OSU, the juggling started well before that day. In fact, there has been no shortage of drama at the quarterback position since the day Ryan Day was hired to coach the position by Urban Meyer nearly four years ago.
As the years have gone on, however, the drama has turned to increasing levels of excitement.
The timeline below recaps most of it in all its glory.
