Kirk Barton played offensive tackle at Ohio State from 2003-7 and was named a captain on the 2007 team as well as becoming a First Team All-Big Ten and All-American selection that season. Barton will breakdown Buckeye football for readers and provide a unique perspective on the site as a former player, captain, All-American, and even graduate assistant, during his time in Columbus.

His decades of experience in the industry make him one of the most trusted sources of recruiting and analysis in the Ohio State market.
Marc Givler
Marc has been covering Ohio State recruiting and football for more than a decade and will continue to do so here at as one of the primary content producers for the site. Marc has built a reputation for delivering timely and accurate recruiting news for Ohio State fans and will continue to travel around the nation to camps, games, and other events, to provide a boots-on-the-ground style of coverage of OSU football and recruiting.

He will be bringing his famed Michigan Monday column to The Scoop, along with his unique perspective on sports.

Alex has been covering Ohio State football, basketball, and recruiting since 2008. He started his own Ohio State blog with friends while in college called "Dotting The I", and has since made stops at Eleven Warriors, 247Sports, and Rivals. Residing in the NYC-area, Alex will be able to help expand Buckeye Scoop's recruiting coverage to the East Coast, where the Buckeyes have had a lot of success over the years. Alex is a trustworthy name in the Ohio State market and will help shape a formidable recruiting team.
Tom Orr

Tom will serve as's utility man. He will be a key member of developing and maintaining the podcasting network and will also serve as staff photographer. He will also continue to co-pilot team coverage with Gerdeman. Tom is not only versatile but has extensive journalism experience, even serving as sports editor of the OSU student newspaper, The Lantern, in the summer and fall quarters of 2000.
