Following Ohio State's 52-12 win at Michigan State, acting head coach Larry Johnson spoke with reporters, as did quarterback Justin Fields and several other Buckeyes. Here are the highlights of everything that was said. Larry Johnson -- There are a lot of things running through his mind right now, but especially how great the leadership was from the veterans. There were a lot of guys out today and it was a great team effort. The coaching staff did a great job of putting this plan together. -...
Missing three starters on the offensive line and starting middle linebacker Tuf Borland, quarterback and captain Justin Fields kept the Ohio State offense calm and the veterans on the Buckeye defense kept things ramped up in OSU's dominating 52-10 win over Michigan State in East Lansing. Fields completed 17-of-24 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. It's always better doing a Tip Sheet when the Buckeyes are playing. The birds are singing sweeter, the snow is warmer, the beer is wetter. There are a number great rivalry games this weekend. Unfortunately, however, half of the teams in those rivalries are terrible this year, so the games won't exactly be any good. But still, rivalries are fun to think about. Especially if Ohio State isn't going to get their rivalry game next weekend. But we will get to next week's issues next week. For now,...
Saturday's basketball game between Ohio State and Alabama A&M has been canceled because of presumed positive COVID tests within the A&M program. Last month, Buckeye head coach Chris Holtmann said that it would take just one positive test from a non-conference opponent to cancel a game. That threshold appears to have been matched or surpassed. Ohio State is next scheduled to play Tuesday, December 8 at Notre Dame.  Here is the full release from OSU on this weekend's cancelation. *...
Ohio State has announced that they will be leaving for East Lansing, Michigan tonight following one final round of COVID testing. The Buckeyes are scheduled to face Michigan State tomorrow at 12:00 pm (ABC), which was in doubt a week ago when Ohio State decided to cancel their game with Illinois because their population positivity rate had gone past the Big Ten's decided-upon 7.5% threshold. Under the guidance of Ohio State team physician Dr. James Borchers, the program underwent increased CO...
