Ohio State earned a bunch of “for the first time since” distinctions on Saturday, but mostly ones that they didn’t want.

A 35-28 defeat against Oregon was their first regular-season loss since 2018, and their first home loss since 2017. It was the first-ever regular-season loss for a Ryan Day-coached team.

However, there were some positives, too. It was also the first time since 2019 that the Ohio State Marching Band attended a Buckeye game, and the first time in more than 560 days that the Horseshoe was packed with Ohio State fans.
