After our bye week, Chip Minnich and I break down what we saw in Ohio State’s somewhat surprising total annihilation of the Maryland Terrapins in this week’s episode of the Silver Bullets Podcast. We discussed the dominating performance of the offense, the obvious benefits from CJ Stroud’s week off, and a little bit of difficulty opening running lanes in the first half. We also talked about some of the defensive players who flashed and check in to see how we did with our score predictions and picks to click. And we checked in on some of the OSU news (both good and bad) from the past week.
Turning the page on Maryland, we welcomed in Indianapolis Star Indiana Hoosiers insider Zach Osterman. Zach jumped on with us to get us up to speed on the Hoosiers’ disappointing season so far and what he thinks might happen Saturday night in Bloomington. We fought through some technical issues through our chat so we had to cut it a bit shorter than planned, but big thanks to Zach for his time and his insight.
Chip and I then discussed the B1G results from around the league during Ohio State’s bye week. There were some surprises and the Big Ten West is suddenly looking a lot more wide open than it appeared to be a week ago.
Finally, we looked ahead to Saturday night and made our score predictions and our offensive and defensive picks to click. At some point, one of us has to pick a defensive end and get it right or the law of averages means nothing.
Enjoy this week’s show. Thanks for listening.
