ROLESVILLE, N.C. – Southern Swing wraps up its travel portion with a stop just outside of Raleigh to check out one of the nation’s top receivers, Noah Rogers. The four-star wideout is not one to do a lot of interviews or do a lot of big talking on social media, so this opportunity was a great one to end the event with.
It was only a few days ago when Rogers announced a top-five with Ohio State, Clemson, Florida, NC State and UNC all making up the schools that all have a shot at the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder going into the month of May.
Getting down to five is always a challenge with the goal of getting down to one. That means a lot of schools will end up hearing ‘No’ throughout the process.
“Any schools that did not make it, it is still a great school and a great option,” Rogers said. “I definitely encourage anybody to go there.”
Of course, our focus was Rogers’ interest in Ohio State and what it might take to pull the four-star out of the state of North Carolina.
“I like what they have got going on,” Rogers added. “They play big, they play fast and they play the best. And I like playing against great competition and playing with a great group of receivers.”
The Buckeyes already have the commitment of Bryson Rodgers and are still in pursuit of players like Brandon Inniss and Carnell Tate among others.
Rogers has his official visit to Ohio State already set but it won’t be the big weekend of June 24th, opting for the week prior to check out the Buckeyes once again and get closer to making that decision.
“I am just looking for genuine love, to make sure my heart is here and the school and football part should take care of itself,” Rogers said. “Just making sure that this is the spot for me.”
Rogers does not have a commitment date in mind, when he knows he will know and sometime after that everyone else will know when he goes public with a commitment.
What type of player will a school be getting in Rogers and what type of person as well? All of that and more in this exclusive video from our 2022 Southern Swing. Don’t miss out and thank to everyone for taking part in this great event.
