Springfield Sophomore Anthony Brown Discusses Returning to Play and Opening Eyes

SPRINGFIELD — One of the best high school football conferences in the state of Ohio is the Greater Western Ohio Conference or GWOC as it is often referred to. It is located in the Dayton area and features well know programs such as
Centerville, Northmont, Springfield, and Wayne. One of the best up and coming teams in that power-packed conference is Springfield who is led by former NFL
defensive back and state championship head coach Moe Douglass. In recent years
Springfield has put a handful of players into the college ranks at all levels.

But it is their upcoming classes in both 2022 and 2023 that are the very bright future of the Wildcats program. In 2022 they have two stars in quarterback Te’Sean Smoot and safety Delian Bradley both of whom are three-star prospects with a handful of division one offers. As for 2023, they feature speedster athlete Anthony Brown who held division I offers before playing a down of high school football. Speaking of Brown last Friday was his high school coming out party and Buckeye Scoop was able to catch up with him after the game

That is where we discussed what it was like to show off his speed, get behind the defense, and how he felt playing cornerback when his coach asked. Matter of fact after watching him play at cornerback that might be where his future lies at the college level.
