Ohio State will be without starting left guard Harry Miller for Friday’s Sugar Bowl due to a positive coronavirus test. Miller’s mother confirmed the positive test via a post on Facebook.
Miller has started every game for the Buckeyes this year, though that did include a start at center against Michigan State when Ohio State was without starters Josh Myers, Thayer Munford, and Nicholas Petit-Frere.
Harris has had some difficult moments this season, but overall he has been an instrumental part of an Ohio State ground attack which has improved each week this season.
When Miller was moved to center against the Spartans, the Buckeyes went with redshirt sophomore Matt Jones at left guard and he played well.
The Ohio State running game has been tremendously effective of late and this will change things a bit. It won’t be a totally new situation for Jones, however, who has experience filling in when called upon.
Ohio State has not confirmed the news and they will not do so until they release their availability report in the hours leading up to the game.
