The Morning Scoop: Ross Fulton Explains Mesh

Mesh is a passing concept created by Air Raid inventor Hal Mumme, and run successfully for decades by members of his coaching tree like Mike Leach.

It has been a popular part of the Buckeyes’ playbook ever since Ryan Day and Kevin Wilson arrived in Columbus in 2017, but seemed to disappear for long stretches last season.

BuckeyeScoop.com’s Xs and Os guru Ross Fulton explains how Mesh works, what opposing teams did to take it away from the Buckeyes in 2019, and what that allows Day and his staff to do instead.
