BOOM! Chris Holtmann and Co. add to the Big Ten’s top-ranked 2022 recruiting class with a commitment from four-star small forward Brice Sensabaugh out of Lake Highland Prep (FL).
Sensabaugh caught Ohio State and Chris Holtmann’s attention after lighting up the Nike EYBL Peach Jam alongside Buckeyes point guard commit Bruce Thornton. Going against the best players in the country, Sensabaugh averaged 21.7 PPG, 4.0 RPG and 1.3 APG for E1T1.
The Buckeyes offered the 6-foot-6 wing on Aug. 20 and he wasted no time including them in his top four alongside Florida, Alabama, and Georgia Tech, which he posted later that same day. Since then he has taken official visits to Georgia Tech (Aug. 27th), Alabama (Sept. 10) and Ohio State (Sept. 17th) with the Buckeyes getting the last visit.
That official visit and a close relationship with Ohio State assistant coach Jake Diebler are what sealed the deal for the Buckeyes. His commitment gives Ohio State four top-100 players in the 2022 class.
Sensabaugh joins point guard Bruce Thornton, wings Roddy Gayle Jr. and Bowen Hardman, along with center Felix Okpara in Ohio State’s class. Those four give Chris Holtmann the best recruiting class in the Big Ten.
Now that Sensabaugh has committed, the Buckeyes have just about everything they wanted in the 2022 class. A talented point guard, shot-blocking center, and plenty of scoring ability from the wing, which is Sensabaugh’s calling card.
