The latest on Tywone Malone

Ohio State already has 19 commitments in their class of 2021, which is unanimously ranked the best in the country by all of the recruiting services. The Buckeyes will likely sign somewhere between 25-27 prospects this cycle, so there’s only a little more than a handful of spots left the rest of the way.

One player who is a top priority for the staff to fill one of those spots is Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic defensive tackle Tywone Malone. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder holds approximately 30 offers, and recently cut that list in half, naming a group of 14 (in no order) that includes USC, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Rutgers, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Texas A&M, Penn State, Florida State, Virginia Tech, LSU, and Ohio State.

Buckeye Scoop recently caught up with Malone, his head coach at Bergen Catholic, and his personal defensive line trainer to learn more about the talented prospect, hear the latest in his recruitment, talk about the Buckeyes, and more.
